Xbox 360 Repair Guide Review

Our Tried And Tested Reviews

“The guides definitely awesome, it completely over delivered.”

360 Ring of Death Fix by James Dean truly and ultimately delivered! His guide was detailed and precise to the letter; he didn’t miss a thing when it came to disassembling my Xbox 360.

One of the things that I really liked about his Guide was the neat, clean cut organization of his high definition videos, “the videos were super sharp!”

Unlike other guides that I purchased, James Dean’s eBook was written in a fashion for people with absolutely zero experience with electronics. It was like reading a road map.

Since the word “endorse” has been thrown around A LOT these days.

I would like to “ENDORSE” 360RingOfDeathFix.com as the Best guide on the internet to repair your “3 red lights!.”

The 3RedLightFix.com guide wasn’t all that easy. The guide did take me step by step, but through it I had to think a little to make sure we were on the same page. The diagrams on the guide were a big plus because it took some guessing out of the process. Their customer service was on top of the game, I had a few questions to ask and I got an answer in no time. “The guides okay, but took some time to figure out if we were on the same page.”

The Three Red Light Fix?

I think NOT!

Their guide was not what I expected. They promised detailed videos and all I got was a small a** 300 X 250 window that had the camera so far away all I could see was a body dismantling the 360, I got no in zoom videos, I got no “DETAIL” as promised and to top it all off, it looked like the videos were grabbed from a bunch of different websites. Looking for an Xbox 360 Repair? Come here to find it!

November 19th, 2011

When Microsoft launched the Xbox 360 back in 2005, no one guessed it would outsell the Sony Playstation 2. Nobody guessed it would still be going strong years on. Despite the obvious assets the console exhibits, it has a chink in it’s armour. This chink is called the Red Ring Of Death!

If you are reading this post because you have the RROD, I have broken down in the shortest possible post what you can do to get gamin FAST!

Here are my quick fire tips to get gaming from as early as today!

1. Return your console to Microsoft if it is under warranty. If it isn’t move onto step 2.

2. Follow a recommended Xbox 360 Repair. You can follow this repair from home using simple household tools and get gaming within 3 hours.

3. Search Google for an independent repair centre who can fix your console. The drawback with this method is that you might have to splash out abit of cash for this fix.

Xbox 360 Repair Guide: Follow my advice about Youtube!

November 12th, 2011

There are still so many Xbox 360 consoles which are failing their customers with the Red Ring of Death. Furthermore, this website receives a few hundred visits a day where people are search for an Xbox 360 Repair to their red ring of death problem.

Scour across the web and you’ll find tons of other websites claiming to show you a sensible fix, when the truth is they are urging people like you to take a terrible risk with your beloved console. I am referring here to the towel trick. You only have to look across to Youtube for evidence. All kinds of bizarre and stupid ways to get your console working again. The truth is, these tricks WILL permanently damage your console. True, on occasion quick fixes like the towel trick will get you gaming. But only for a very short period.. Days perhaps.

The towel trick does nothing more than re-solder the components on the motherboard of the xbox 360. This happens because of extreme overheating, which is the reason your console stopped working in the first place.

The Xbox 360 repair that I do recommend is one which you can do at home using nothing more than a few simple tools and following a video tutorial along online. Simple. The other option of course is to get in touch with Microsoft if your console is still under warranty.

If you do have the red ring of death and you do want to repair it safely, take my advice: DON’T WRAP YOUR CONSOLE IN A TOWEL!!!!

Microsoft To Launch A Television Service On The Xbox 360

September 18th, 2011

Our excitement has been confirmed, Microsoft will finally launch a television service this coming season.

Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer made the announcement at a financial meeting earlier in September 2011. He said Microsoft is currently working with, “dozens or hundreds of additional video content suppliers”, which means Xbox TV will show live events, as well as other on demand services.

Google and Apple have so far failed at similar offering and since Kinetic has given Microsoft momentum and credibility, there’s real excitement that the Xbox platform is evolving and not dying out, despite what I wrote in one of my previous posts.

If you were asked what household item you’d take with you on a deserted island, what would you say?

I know, that I love 3 things:

1. Medal of honour (gaming)

2. Jack Bower (television)

3. http://xbox360repairguidex.com (internet)

HAHA! I guess I am saying, the Xbox will save you money and a lot of space in your backpack when you move house, since you won’t need to buy any additional equipment….

Is The End Near For Our Beloved Xbox 360?

August 18th, 2011

Gamers from the 90’s will remember the feeling when you went to stores to exchange games from your SNES (Super Nintendo) and you were told by the shop staff that they were no longer stocking SNES games. Well, that time is near for the Xbox 360 according to Edge magazine.

Japanese retailers are scaling back their stock of the Xbox 360 range. In some cases stock has disappeared from shop shelves all together.

The Xbox 360 has had a tough time recently in Japan. Despite a good sales record in Europe and North America, the console has only just surpassed one and a half million in sales.

In 2011, its estimated just 72,000 consoles have been sold in the Japan. Thats a decrease of 46.7 percent compared to the same period in 2010.

Edge has been told that GEO, Japans biggest gaming retailer is sufficiently reducing their Xbox 360 purchasing.

Meanwhile, Yamada Denki is holding stock clearances across their Xbox 360 range.

This lack of faith in the console could set the trend across Europe and North America. Microsoft has been heavily criticised for its Red Ring Of Death problem and has never really managed to solve the problem.

So does this signal the imminent death of the much loved and best console ever produced?

Perhaps. But this is no time to cling onto the past. Technology is moving forward so quick that there is endless pleasure to be head peeps.

Hello to my dearest readers…Here’s an easy method for you guys to make a nice side income…
Its something that i do from time to time when in need of a quick cash boost, but I’ll let your imagination flow…

So, you are on this site because you have the red ring of death or another common Xbox 360 fault right?

And, I am guessing you’d rather

    fix the console yourself?

This leads me onto my next point. Take a look at my Xbox 360 Repair Guide Review and you’ll see my recommended Repair Guide..

So what? You ask!

Well, why don’t you kill two birds with one stone and use the repair guide to not only show you how to repair your console, but repair others too!!!!

Right, here is your plan of action…

Head over to Ebay.com

Search for xbox 360.

You’ll be presented with hundreds of listings of Xbox 360 consoles. Scan through the various listings and there you will finds tons of listings of Xbox 360s with the 3 Red Lights.

The beauty is, they are incredibly cheap because the sellers who have it, panic because they don’t have the money to repair it and haven’t discovered a fix such as the ones reviewed on this site.

So they just try and make a quick buck. Unfortunately, just because you have the 3 Red lIghts, it doesn’t mean the console is beyond repair.

Anyway, what you do is simply buy the console at a dirt cheap price as listed and fix it yourself.

And thats it!

You then re-list it on Ebay and you’ve made a tasty profit!

Take a look on Ebay to see how much working Xbox’s are going for and you’ll see there is money to be made.

Its so easy, I don’t know why others haven’t tried this before.

So this is my method for making a quick book from your repair guide purchase..

Maybe getting the RROD is a blessing in disuse hey?

Okay, well, Ill let you get on and try it!

Microsoft Xbox 360 Repair: The RROD Is A Pain In The A**

May 10th, 2011

I sometimes get emails from visitors to this site who ask for individual advice about repairing their RROD. We all know by know, (since its been 6 years) that the Xbox 360 is known for the Red Ring Of Death just as much as its interactivity, Xbox Live, wide array of games and versatility.. Its a shame really!

People are emailing me asking for individual one on one advice…. I am sorry, at this moment there is no ‘value’ in creating a video explaining a repair, because I cannot do as good a job as the Xbox 360 Repair Guide that I am recommending HERE

It really is a straight forward and sensible fix. Don’t stress yourself guys, if you do have a broken down console and don’t have a warranty, or, if you are not patient enough to wait for your console to be repaired by Microsoft under warranty, just invest in the repair guide which is receiving rave reviews across the net!!

Best of luck peeps!

Uk Gamers Spend 3-4 Hours A Day On Their Xbox 360!

March 9th, 2011

According to Microsofts advertising arm Microsoft Advertising, 83 percent of gamers in the Uk played games on their console around 3 to 4 times per week. On the other hand as much as 41 percent say that they spend three to four hours a day playing games on their console. Crazy stuff! I guess time flies when you are having fun hey? But seriously, these are interesting statistics. The survey also concluded that the most popular games on the console were shooters followed by racing games and RPGs.
Bear in mind, these stats are for the UK market, I’ll have to see if there are any similar stats for the US market to compare and contrast..
Just in case you are interested, you can find more information at the MCV website

Is Kinetic Causing The 360 Red Ring Of Death?

March 1st, 2011

I’ve just read from the BBC website that the Red Ring Of Death has infected an increasing number of gamers, moments after they’ve connected the Kinect Motion Controller. I n some cases the gamers have found their consoles are out of warranty, a terrible twist of fate.. I mean, who expects to plug in a new gadget and find that it has caused the dreaded hardware error. So far, there are no reports of the newer 360 Slim verson being hit by the RROD as a result of plugging in Kinetic.

Gamers flocked to Zdnet Blogs complaining about their older generation consoles had died moments after connecting the Kinetic. Reports suggest that the console was initially freezing before finally receiving the flashing 3 red lights.

If you are one of these people, who has suffered this cruel fate, then you should be able to find a safe fix from home HERE.
For its part, Microsoft has released a statement denying the link,
“The Kinect is designed to work with every Xbox 360 sold to date,” said a Microsoft spokesperson on the issue. “There is no correlation between the three flashing red lights error and Kinect,” the spokesperson told the BBC. “Any new instances of the three flashing red lights error are merely coincidental.”

Well personally, I am not at all surprised Mircosoft are denying this, furthermore its hardly a surprise when you consider the thousands of gamers who have been unfortunate enough to have had the RROD since the launch of the original Xbox 360 back in 2005. One would think that Microsoft, one the wealthiest corporations in the world would get its act together fast.
Now, when you consider that millions of Kinetcs have been sold within months of its release, with a huge amount of those sales being standalone purchases to be connected with the older generation consoles that there are now millions more consoles at risk of getting the Red Ring Of Death..

My advice to you, check your warranty before you connect and take the risk. Or, be aware of the risk before connecting. Sorry it isn’t what you want to hear, but you’ve been warned folks.
